Wanna get in shape? Eat pork rinds

Pork RindsWe all know what the evil foods are. Stuff like candy, salty snacks, mayo, sour cream, soda. But there are some so-called "unhealthy" foods that just might be good for you.

According to Men's Health mag, foods like sour cream, chocolate, and booze can actually be good for you. We know that chocolate contains a lot of stuff that can be healthy (especially dark chocolate, the more cocoa the better) and we know that red wine has important antioxidants. But what about stuff like pork rinds and sour cream? Well, pork rinds have zero carbs, tons of protein, and while they have around 9 grams of fat per serving, that's still less than potato chips. And sour cream? While the percentage of fat per serving is high, the total isn't, and most have less fat than you'll get drinking an 8 ounce glass of 2% milk.

Of course, no one's saying to base your eating habits and all your meals around pork rinds and sour cream, but it's probably best not to eliminate so-called "bad" foods from your diet and to keep an open mind about your diet and how to eat things in moderation.

They are very high in fat and though 9 grams of fat in a serving may not sound like much its about a fourth of the fat you should eat in a day - and who eats one serving?

Everybody is gonna eat those nasty little pieces of skin! Aren't there other things that " Are not so bad for you," that people can eat, without having blocked arteries? Just remember folks that the Adkins Diet is something of the past, just like pork rinds should be ! ((((((HELLO))))))*****

Well you are correct to assume that the Adkins diet may be a thing of the past. However, Diabetes is NOT a thing of the past, and it continues to afflict thousands of people each year. As you may or may not know people who suffer from diabetes have no chioce but monitor their carbohydrate intake. Pork rinds gives them an alternative to potato chips. If they monitor their fat intake as well which most do, then they should be able to remain blockage free!!

Never ate much till I went on Atkins, but they really satisfy the need to crunch. Lost 85 lbs on Atkins and have kept it off 5 yrs.

She just eats until begins to feel full then stops. All of us should do that. I have finally just about stopped being a garbage can when cleaning the table. All of us should check and see what mistakes we are making when it comes to food. Thats it for now - let me go get my cup of pork rinds. Night all!

The Healing Powers of Vinegar is a way of life so you can get and stay in shape forever. Check out my website at www.calorey.com. Forget pork.
